Local SEO services
built for the map pack.
When someone nearby searches for what you do, Google often shows a map and a short list of businesses before any website. Local SEO is the work of being on that list: a complete Google Business Profile, local structured data, an honest review strategy, and pages for the towns you actually serve. We do that work with the engineer who finds the problem making the fix, and we track your local rankings with Pulse.

What is the map pack, and why does it matter?
For searches with local intent, such as "plumber near me" or "web design Gurnee", Google usually shows a map with a few businesses above the regular results. Those listings come from Google Business Profiles, and they get the calls, the direction requests, and the visits. Google says local results are based mainly on three things: relevance to the search, distance from the person searching, and prominence, meaning how well known and well reviewed the business is. Local SEO works on everything in that list you can control.
Google Business Profile, done completely
Your profile is the listing that appears in the map, so it has to be complete and accurate: the right primary and secondary categories, your services and service areas, your hours, and a description in the words your customers actually use. Then we keep your name, address, phone, and hours consistent everywhere they appear, because conflicting business facts weaken trust with Google and with AI assistants alike.
Local structured data and city pages
Google reads your website to confirm what your profile claims. We add LocalBusiness structured data that states who you are, where you are, and where you serve, and we build pages for the towns and services that bring you work, each one written for that market rather than a template with the city name swapped in.
A review strategy, not review begging
Reviews feed the prominence part of Google’s ranking, and they are often what decides the call for the person reading the map. We help you build a steady, honest habit of asking happy customers at the right moment, make it one tap for them to leave a review, and set up a routine for answering every review you get. No fake reviews and nothing that puts your profile at risk.
Tracked by city, reported every week
Local rankings change from one town to the next, so we measure them by place. Pulse, our own monitoring platform, watches your local rankings, tracks the calls and direction clicks your site drives and the searches that produced them, keeps an eye on your competitors, and reports it all in plain English every week.
Local SEO for Lake County, the Illinois Valley, and Chicagoland
We are based in Gurnee and work with businesses across Lake County, from Waukegan and Libertyville to Vernon Hills, and in the Illinois Valley, where Kevin ran an office in LaSalle for years and is available for on-site meetings in the Illinois Valley. For Chicagoland businesses the work is the same; the competition is just denser.

FAQ
Common questions
What are local SEO services?
Local SEO is the work of showing up when people nearby search for what you do, both in the Google map pack and in the regular results under it. It covers your Google Business Profile, local structured data on your website, reviews, pages for the towns you serve, and business facts that agree everywhere they appear. Champlin Enterprises does all of it and tracks the results with Pulse, our own monitoring platform.
How is local SEO different from regular SEO?
Regular SEO competes for a ranking among websites. Local SEO also competes for a place in the map, which Google fills from Business Profiles and ranks by relevance, distance, and prominence. Most local businesses need both, and the same technical foundation, a fast site with clean structured data, helps each one. Our SEO services page covers the broader program.
Can you guarantee a spot in the map pack?
No, and nobody honestly can. Distance from the person searching is part of how Google ranks the map, and no one controls that. What we do is make every factor you can control as strong as it can be, then show you the results every week so you can judge the work yourself.
What about AI assistants answering "near me" questions?
ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI Overviews increasingly answer "best X near me" questions directly, and they lean on the same signals: consistent business facts, clean structured data, and reviews. That layer is part of our local work, and our answer engine optimization service goes further.
What does local SEO cost?
Flat-quoted, like everything we do. Getting your profile, schema, and local pages right is a fixed project price, and ongoing monitoring runs on a predictable monthly Care Plan. No 12-month lock-ins. Tell us about your business through our start-a-project form and we will quote it flat.
