Web design and software built
for Peru, IL.
Peru does its business in two places: the district at I-80 and IL-251, and the US-6 corridor with downtown. We build fast, search-ready websites and custom software for owners in both, with fixed prices, a stated timeline and, on a Care Plan, a help desk that answers tickets.

Peru shops, ships and manufactures within a few miles
The largest business district in Peru sits where I-80 meets IL-251. Three smaller districts run along US-6, downtown among them. The city is also a manufacturing address: American Nickeloid keeps its national headquarters here, and the W.H. Maze Co. was founded in 1848, the year the Illinois and Michigan Canal opened. A Peru website has to work for a shopper on a phone in a parking lot and for a purchasing agent two states away. The site has to do both jobs.
Found on the phone, at the moment someone is deciding
A customer deciding on the spot searches for things like “tire shop near me” or “pharmacy open now”. We build for that moment. Your hours, services and location are marked up so Google can read them, the page loads before the shopper gives up, and your Google Business Profile says the same thing as your site. After launch, Pulse, our own monitoring platform, gives your site a 0 to 100 Pulse Score, then turns the gaps into a fix plan.
Software for the part of the business that is not a storefront
A distributor, fabricator or contractor in Peru usually has a second problem behind the website: quotes built by hand, orders arriving by email, inventory in a spreadsheet nobody trusts. We build the quoting tool, the order portal or the inventory screen, and connect it to the website so customers can use it. For Mendota Mutual Insurance, a 150-year-old Illinois mutual insurer, we built an agent locator on a keyless map, the same skill behind a dealer or branch finder. We also run our own software products, so this is familiar work, not a first attempt.
Who does the building, said plainly
The engineers on your project are AI agents running on Anthropic's Claude. They read the existing code, write the change and write the tests for it. Kevin Champlin, our Founder & Principal Engineer, directs the work and approves the plan before anything starts. That is how a small Peru business gets principal-level engineering without paying for a room full of people.
What you get
What this looks like in practice
Storefront and service sites
Pages for each service and each location, written so a search engine and a customer reach the same answer, and a phone number that is one tap away.
Online ordering and booking
Take orders, deposits or appointments on your own site, shaped around how your counter or your schedule really runs.
Catalogs and quote requests
For makers and distributors: a product catalog with spec sheets, plus a quote form that lands in your inbox with the details already sorted.
Google Business Profile
Categories, services, photos and hours kept consistent with the website, because mismatched listings quietly cost you calls.
AI for the front desk
An assistant that answers the routine questions on your site and passes real leads to you, trained on your own pages and policies.
Hosting, and Care on top
Backups, uptime checks and security monitoring on every hosted site, and with a Care Plan, a help desk where every request becomes a ticket with a number.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
I'm on the I-80 side. Does a downtown Peru shop need a different website?
The tools are the same, the emphasis is not. A business off the interstate lives on drive-by traffic and quick searches, so speed, directions and hours come first. A downtown business often sells on character and repeat visits, so photos, events and a clear story matter more. We ask which customer you are chasing before we design a single page.
We make or distribute something. Can a website win work outside LaSalle County?
Yes, and for a manufacturer it is often the best use of a website. Buyers search for a part, a material or a capability, not a town. We build product and capability pages around those searches, add structured data, and make the quote request short enough that a busy purchasing agent finishes it.
What does a website cost for a Peru business?
Every project is flat-quoted after one short call, never billed by the hour. Most local business sites land between $2,500 and $8,000 depending on what you need, and a simple starter site can begin on Mainfolk, our own site builder, free on a mainfolk.com address and $15 a month on your own domain. We are not the cheapest option in the Illinois Valley, and we are not trying to be.
Our current site is a few years old. Rebuild it or fix it?
We read it first. Sometimes a few fixes to speed and structure are enough. If the site is held together by plugins and page-builder layers, a clean rebuild is cheaper in the long run. Either way, every old address gets redirected so the rankings you already earned come with you.
Who do I call when something on the site breaks?
On a Care Plan, you open a ticket, and it gets a number and a paper trail. Behind that, monitoring runs around the clock, error tracking catches problems before customers report them, and the Client Portal shows a timeline of every action taken on your site.

A softer step
Not sure if you even need this kind of work?
Most businesses don't need a custom build. They need a clear look at where AI would actually pay off first. That's what the Free AI Opportunity Audit is: tell us about your operation and an AI agent we engineered reads your website and emails you, in about two minutes, three concrete places AI quietly pays for itself, a 90-day plan for the first one, and a website health grade. No call needed and no follow-up sales sequence. The audit is yours whether or not we ever work together.
