Company profile and references

Who we are, and who runs on what we build.

This page exists for organizations doing their homework on us before they commit. It covers our background, what ChamberCulture actually does, which organizations are running on it today, and what our clients say in their own words. If something here is not enough to satisfy your review, ask us directly and we will answer it plainly.

At a glance

The short version.

Founded

Writing production software since 1998

Headquarters

Gurnee, Illinois, United States

What we are

A software company, not a marketing agency

Structure

Senior engineer led, deliberately small

Products in production

Eighteen, built and operated in house

Flagship

ChamberCulture: Surveys, CRM, and Sites

Background

Twenty eight years of shipping.

Kevin Champlin started writing production code in 1998 and has engineered software through every era since: the early web, the mobile shift, the move to cloud, and now the AI transformation. Champlin Enterprises puts that experience to work across custom applications, our own line of SaaS products, and managed hosting that comes with real engineering behind it.

We are deliberately small. There is no office full of junior developers and no layer of project managers between you and the person writing the code. We hold fewer than ten active clients at a time on purpose, because the alternative is the thing every buyer of software has already been burned by: a vendor who signs you and then hands you to whoever is free.

We also run our own software. Eighteen products are in production under our name, ChamberCulture among them. That matters for a review like yours, because it means the platform you are evaluating is not a side project we will lose interest in. It is our flagship, and our own business depends on it working.

The platform

What ChamberCulture actually does.

Three products a chamber can run as one: the member CRM, the chamber website with its live directory, and employee engagement Surveys. Below is the honest inventory of what is built and running today.

Member CRM

Members, contacts, categories, and membership history in one record. Dues billing with configurable rate tables, invoices, receipts, and renewal tracking. Members can join and pay their first dues online and become active automatically.

Chamber website

Every membership includes a website with a live member directory pulled straight from the CRM, so the directory is never out of date. Editable by chamber staff without a developer. Sponsor and advertising placements are sold and managed from the CRM.

Events and ticketing

Event pages, paid and free registration, QR code tickets delivered by email, and attendee lists that write back to the member record.

Payments

Payments run through a gateway layer in which each provider is a small driver behind one interface. Money lands in the chamber’s own merchant account, not ours. Multi-currency, and local providers can be added for a given market rather than forcing card rails that do not fit.

Member portal

Each member business gets its own portal to update its listing, manage contacts, view invoices, and pay. Sign in by email link, password, or Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn single sign on.

Communications

Segmented bulk email to the membership from the chamber’s own sending domain, with delivery, open, click, and bounce tracking.

Surveys and certification

Employee engagement surveys for member businesses, with a Best Places to Work style certification that members compete to earn. A revenue line and a membership draw, not just a feature.

Operations

Uptime, SSL, and error monitoring on every tenant site with alerting to us, plus a ticketed help desk. When something breaks, we generally know before the chamber does.

Organizations on the platform

Who is actually running on it.

Two chambers, and we will not pad that number. Demonstration tenants are never counted as customers, and an organization appears here only once it is genuinely running on ChamberCulture. Named, contactable references are available on request, with that organization’s permission.

A chamber of commerce in Illinois

Live in production

Roughly 200 member businesses. Runs the full platform: member CRM, dues and invoicing, a public website with a live member directory drawn straight from the CRM, event registration with QR tickets, card payments on the chamber’s own Stripe account, a member portal with single sign on, and bulk email to the membership. Migrated from a legacy association management system and cut its public domain over to the new site in September 2026.

Migration in progress

Currently moving off ChamberMaster. Member, contact, event, and billing history are being imported, merchant services are being connected, and the chamber’s website and directory are being rebuilt on the platform. A live example of how we handle a migration from an incumbent vendor.

In their own words

What clients say.

These are verbatim, from client correspondence. We keep attribution at role level because the messages were private. Ask and we will put you in touch with the people who wrote them.

Thank you so much! You and your team are doing a great job!

Executive Director, chamber of commerce running the platform

Having known and worked with Kevin Champlin for the better part of ten years, I can offer the following informed feedback as his client. I’ve found Mr. Champlin and his company to offer consistently excellent value in the services and advice they deliver.

Longtime client, ten year partnership

A really nice experience working with everyone. Their development team are real professionals. They are easy to work with and continue to deliver a quality product within our timeline and also within our budget.

Operations Director, logistics company

The team here took exceptional steps to repair a web page that was broken. Kevin was willing to go above and beyond in seeking a solution when the page had been mismanaged. I am grateful that Kevin got me back up and running.

How an engagement runs

What working with us looks like.

You talk to the engineer. Not an account manager. The person answering your question is the person who will write the code, which is why answers arrive the same day and usually with the fix already shipped.

We migrate you, you do not migrate yourself. Moving off an incumbent system means exports, mapping, and reconciliation. We do that work and we check it against your own records before anything goes live.

You own what we build. Your data is yours and exportable. Payments settle into your merchant account. There is no hostage clause and no penalty for leaving.

The platform keeps moving. Requests from live chambers become features. Several of the capabilities listed above exist because a chamber asked for them and we built them that week.

References and further diligence

Ask us for anything this page does not cover.

We can arrange a direct conversation with a chamber executive director currently running the platform, walk your team through a live tenant, answer security and data handling questions, or provide documentation your board needs for its own approval process. Tell us what your review requires and we will get it to you.
