Setup

  • Settings, Apps, Safari, Extensions, FullBleed: switch it on.
  • On the same screen set Other Websites to Allow, so it can work on every page without asking each time.
  • Open any page on the outer display. The app’s setup screen turns green on the first page it widens.

Using it

  • Pages that asked to fit the screen now use the whole display. The Safari controls stay on top.
  • Tap the page menu and choose FullBleed to switch a single site off, turn Wide off everywhere, or read why the current page was or was not widened.
  • Drag sideways to peek under the controls. The page settles back when you let go.

Test page

champlinenterprises.com/fullbleed/test reads the live layout of the page you are on and reports whether Wide is working, how wide the strip is, and which side it is on. Send us a screenshot of it with any report; it tells us most of what we need.

Common fixes

FullBleed does not appear in the Safari page menu.

Open Settings, Apps, Safari, Extensions, FullBleed and make sure it is allowed. Then set Other Websites to Allow. Reload the page and open the page menu again.

The extension is on but pages are not wider.

Check that you are on the outer display: on the inner display and on other iPhones Safari already gives pages the full width, so there is nothing to widen. Some pages ask for a desktop layout or a fixed width; FullBleed leaves those alone on purpose and says so in its menu.

A site looks wrong when it is wide.

Open the page menu, choose FullBleed and turn it off for that site. The choice applies to that site only. If you think the site should work wide, send us the address and we will look at the page itself.

How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?

Open the FullBleed app, tap the unlock card and choose Restore purchase. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not to the phone.

How long is the trial and when does it start?

The trial starts the first time FullBleed actually widens a page, not when you install the app, and runs for seven days. The app shows the days left on its home screen.

Is there a page I can use to check it is working?

Yes. Open champlinenterprises.com/fullbleed/test in Safari on the outer display. It reads the live layout and tells you in one line whether Wide is working, and how wide the Safari strip is on your phone.
