You found the software company at the turn.
A full-service software firm: websites, marketing and SEO, AI, and the custom systems your business runs on. Seventeen products of our own are live in production, and we build the same way for businesses across the Illinois Valley.
Need a website first? Mainfolk, our own builder, designs, writes, and illustrates a complete one in about two minutes. You see it finished before you pay a dollar. It is the easiest door in, not the whole shop.
Rather just talk to a person? Text or call (815) 885-5509. Say you scanned the Oak Ridge guide and we’ll know exactly where you found us.
The scorecard
Websites, marketing, AI, and the software you run on.
Most businesses assume the only options are a marketing agency reselling WordPress themes or a freelancer overseas. This is neither. We build the site, run the marketing that feeds it, and engineer the custom systems underneath, all in-house. Take one of the four or take all of them.
Websites
Start free with Mainfolk, our own builder, and have a complete site this afternoon. Or have us hand-build something custom around how your business actually works.

Marketing & SEO
A Care Plan puts Pulse on your site: a weekly plain-English read on traffic, leads, local rankings, and whether Google AI and ChatGPT are naming you. Then we make the fixes, not just the report.
From $29/mo
AI
Real automation in production. Document processing, customer support, lead follow-up. The AI that moves a P&L, not the slick demo that dies on staging.
Two-week Sprint
Custom software
The systems your business actually runs on: internal tools, customer portals, mobile apps. The same discipline behind apps live in the App Store, pointed at your operation.
Quoted per project
Ongoing marketing, monitoring, and SEO live in our Care Plans, built on Pulse, our own analytics and local-SEO platform. Bigger builds start with a conversation, not a form.
The work behind the work
We don’t just build software. We run it.
Seventeen products of our own are live in production right now, carrying real customers and real revenue. That is the same engineering pointed at your business: nothing shipped overseas, nothing bought and rebadged, no agency org chart between you and the people writing the code.

Mainfolk is our own website builder, and it is the smallest thing we do. Give it your name, your business name, and an email, and it designs, writes, and illustrates a complete website for your business. Pages, words, pictures, all of it. You look at the finished site first. If you like it, keep it. If you don’t, you have spent nothing.

Enterprise pedigree, local access
Big-league work. Right here.
Champlin Enterprises has been engineering software since the 1990s, ran an office in LaSalle for years, and is an active member of the Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce today. You get the caliber of engineering national brands pay for, from people who will sit across the table from you and drive Route 251 for a working session. Sponsoring Senica’s Oak Ridge is one more way of backing the community we build for.

Questions, answered.
Do you only do websites?
No. A website is the smallest thing we do, and it is on this page because it is the easiest place for a stranger to start. The rest of it is the actual business: ongoing marketing, local SEO, and monitoring through our Care Plans (built on Pulse, our own analytics and local-search platform at pulselookout.com), AI automation that runs in production, and custom software (internal tools, customer portals, mobile apps, integrations between systems that do not talk to each other). Most of our work is the custom side.
Is the free website actually free?
Yes. Mainfolk builds your complete website (pages, words, and pictures) and shows it to you finished before any money changes hands. You can keep it free on a mainfolk.com address for as long as you like. Putting it on your own domain is $15 a month, and that includes hosting, security, and updates. There is no card required to see what it builds.
Wait, a software company sponsoring a golf guide?
Champlin Enterprises has deep roots in the Illinois Valley. We ran an office in LaSalle for years and are active members of the Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce today. Sponsoring Senica’s Oak Ridge is one more way of backing the community we build software for. Also, 6,900 yards of oak woodland and water is a good place to talk shop.
Can you fix the website we already have?
Usually, yes, and we will tell you honestly which it should be. Sometimes a site is fundamentally sound and needs speed, search, and content work. Sometimes it is a decade-old theme held together with plugins, and rebuilding it on Mainfolk costs less than another year of patching. Send us the address and we will tell you which one you have.
You build for national brands. Why work with a business like ours?
Because the work is the same work. We have engineered software for companies like Levi Strauss & Co., White Claw, and Wells Fargo, and we have seventeen products of our own running in production with real customers on them. That engineering points at an Illinois Valley manufacturer just as well as it points at a national brand. You are not handed off to a junior team or an overseas contractor, and you are not paying a big-city agency org chart to sit between you and the people building it.
Do you work with businesses right here in the Illinois Valley?
Yes. Manufacturers, distributors, dealerships, healthcare practices, municipalities, and family-owned operating companies across LaSalle, Peru, Mendota, Ottawa, Spring Valley, and the surrounding region. On-site visits and working sessions are part of how we work, and driving Route 251 for a meeting is not a problem.
How does pricing work?
It runs the whole range. A Mainfolk website is free to see and $15 to $29 a month to run, with a $99 Civic plan for fire districts, police departments, villages, and churches. Ongoing marketing, monitoring, and local SEO run through a Care Plan, from $29 a month on top of hosting. Custom software engagements are quoted per project and start at $10,000, and our productized two-week AI Sprint is a flat $25,000. You pay for principal engineering output rather than an agency org chart, and the first conversation is always free.
